The Lincoln University Co-Curricular Pre-Professional Preparatory Program (CP3) in Biomedical Sciences and Health Professions assists and prepares Lincoln University students who want to distinguish themselves as strong candidates for graduate degree programs in biomedical sciences or professional degree programs in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or pharmacy.
CP3 identifies highly-motivated incoming first-year students who become part of an interdisciplinary cohort of trainees. Each trainee in the program receives personalized advisement to develop a customized course of study that meets his/her educational and career goals. Students also participate in a variety of rigorous training activities throughout the four years of matriculation at the University.
CP3 students are grouped into a peer cohort. During the academic year, the cohort of trainees attends career path seminars, skills-building workshops, and journal club meetings. Additionally, each trainee meets with a team of CP3 advisors at least one time per semester.
CP3 also facilitates the participation of its trainees in hands-on research apprenticeships, clinical/community service opportunities, and graduate/professional school entrance exam preparation courses either during the academic year or during the summer.
CP3 advisement and other program activities are meant to complement the normal academic curriculum for each student trainee.
